MIBM organised a Cleanliness Awareness Campaign, also known as “SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN” under Rejoice - The Joy of Giving at Parvati Hill Pune. With prior permission from local authorities and precautionary measures with the pandemic, around 20 students gathered at the foot of Parvati Hill on 11th of February at 9.00am. Trekking those 108 steps up to the Parvati Hill Temple was so refreshing! Everyone wore gloves and scattered around the place to collect garbage i.e. plastic, papers etc. under the supervision of Prof. Dr.Harsha Thorve. All the garbage collected was then disposed at the common dumping ground. We got an insight into Pune’s history when we visited the Temple built during the Peshwa dynasty and the Peshwa Museum. Everyone had a unique experience participating in this event with the sense of responsibility towards the society.
